Nuestro profesorado y estudiantes/Staff and students are excited to continue celebrating student achievement through our welcoming visual TV and Latin music.  The television display is located by the front office, so only grade 1-2 students and guests can benefit from the TV announcements and celebrations of learning.  Consequently, we are collaborating with the School Society to install and fund a second television near the Music room for students to see ongoing announcements and enjoy videos/photos of Kindergarten to grade 6 student work and special events.

Con la ayuda de/With the help of parent volunteers, the school is entering the winter/Christmas season.  Parents have placed two beautifully decorated Christmas trees and will continue to add festive season decorations to our school Hallways.

Cada clase/Each classroom has created a commitment that speaks about their desire to be respectful and responsible in their class and school surroundings. Many speak about displaying academic engagement, safe and welcoming environment that make our school a special place to teach and learn.  We amalgamated K-grade 6 classroom commitments to create a whole-school student and classroom commitment: “We commit to creating a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for all by respecting others and ourselves, listening attentively, and using kind words and actions. We will demonstrate a growth mindset by always trying our best, helping others do their best, and continuing to practice and develop our Spanish daily in different contexts.” As Sra. Fandino and I enter the classrooms, we wish to celebrate these and other unique behaviours that foster wellness and an environment that supports academic success.

Nuestro comite de bienestar y comite Indigena/Our Wellness and Indigenous committees have also been working hard to provide opportunities for our students to reflect on actions that are kind and ensure our land in our school, surrounding areas and the world remain clean, strong ecologically and respected by them and others.
