Principal’s Message
Queridas familias:
Hoy/Today, our grade 6 students went to A.E Cross Junior High to meet with the Spanish Bilingual program grade 7, 8 and 9 students. While there, our students experienced rich and fun activities while utilizing the Spanish language. This and future collaborations with A.E Cross School aim to familiarize our students with A.E Cross School and its various programs. We appreciate the A.E Cross staff and students for this and future opportunities to create familiarity and excitement for their future program.
Esta semana/This week, we held our second school lockdown of the year. Both staff and students followed procedures with great respect and responsibility. On this occasion, CPS asked a teacher to call the lockdown from their classroom. The teacher did a great job following procedures in case of an unforeseen event. CPS provided us with additional tweaks to make our process even safer. At the end of their visit, the constables were gifted with our Glenmeadows adult recognition. The students from grade 4 who gave the recognition certificate were very eloquent and grateful with their words and sentiments of gratitude for the safety the CPS constables provide our school and our city. The certificates were received with much appreciation and teary eyes.
La proxima semana/Next week, students will be” immersed”…. in swimming! They will have great fun and learn valuable swimming skills with classmates. We are appreciative of our School Society for partially funding this activity. Please do not forget to send your child with their bathing suit, towel and a plastic bag!!!
Tengan un lindo fin de semana.

FundScrip Fundraiser – Deadline Extended!
FundScrip is a fundraising program that lets us raise needed funds simply by purchasing gift cards to the stores you are already shopping at. You purchase a $100 grocery card and your will receive a $100 gift card and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to our School.
What are we raising funds for? Currently we have a couple big ticket items we would like to get this school year if possible. First, is a cool Robot cube set for our Stem related learning program and second, is a lighting package for all our amazing concerts. We rent lighting each concert and that money adds up quickly. With our own lighting, we can take good care of it, know how to use it more efficiently and make our kids concerts even better. Plus, stop throwing away money with renting year after year.
Please return your forms to school by Monday, March 4.
Questions, please reach out to our Society Chair at Chair@EGMSS.onmicrosoft.com.
New Fundraiser Coming Soon!
The EGS Society has exciting news on an upcoming fundraiser!
We have partnered with West Hills Fit Body Boot Camp who is helping us raise money for our school and kids!
