Principal’s Message

Queridas familias:

Esperamos/We look forward to meeting families in person or online for Parent/Teacher Conferences next Thursday or Friday.  Teachers have their bookmarks and learning artifacts ready to show you progress and areas for growth.  Together, we will support children in achieving their maximum potential in all areas.

CBE has provided our school with a little over $ 9,000 to ensure the new curriculums are well-resourced.  In addition, our School Society has requested teachers and school committees to create a list of resources we may need.  As a result of CBE/Alberta Government funds, we will have base resources, and with School Society funds, students will have top-ups above and beyond what other schools may have.

CBE will be decommissioning older iPads and laptops in a month. At the same time, we will receive 15 new iPads and 38 Chromebooks!  Gracias CBE!

El programa de natacion/The swim program is now over, and a huge thank you to all the volunteers for their time and dedication.  We could not have done this without your support! Again, thank the Escuela Glenmeadows School Society for partially subsidizing the swim program!

Tengan un lindo fin de semana.

Ray Suarez

Principal

Healthy Hunger

Don’t forget to register for Healthy Hunger, save yourself making a few lunches this year and support the school society!

To set up and order food for the weeks to come, first set up an account for your child(ren) through the Healthy Hunger website

FundScrip Fundraiser

FundScrip Fundraiser was a success!

We received orders from 52 families, making the school $1360 in fundraising! Great job Glenmeadows! Imagine what 275 families could have done. What makes FundScrip so amazing is our account will stay open for the remainder of the school year and order forms will be kept in the office to be taken home, filled out and returned.  A school society member will be placing orders every couple weeks. I wish we could do it online for faster and easy convenience, but sadly paper orders is how it works.

Please reach out to Ana in the office or Society Chair, Tera Viccars @ Chair@egmss.onmicrosoft.com for any questions.

Gift cards will be available for pick up at the school March 19th from 8:30 am to 5 pm and March 20th from 8:30 am to 10 am, and 3 pm to 4:30 pm.

Gift Cards will not be sent home with kids due to the value.

Thank you all for supporting the school and our kids!
