PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
📸 Picture Day – El lunes/Monday!
Students are excited for Picture Day! We look forward to capturing both individual and class photos. Please know that we respect each family’s choices about what students wear. For example, some students may choose to wear baseball caps or other personal items.
🌪️ Hurricane Defender/Defensor de Huracanes
The Hurricane Defender was a huge hit with our engineer-minded students, with almost 100 students participating!
Because of the incredible interest, we will host two assemblies on Thursday—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—so our PM Kindergarten students can participate as well. On Monday, we will share more information about the times, student groups and the assembly schedule.
With two assemblies, we are also pleased to invite parents of participating students to attend and celebrate their children’s creativity, problem-solving, and learning!
🔨 Honour the Work: STEM in Action
Our teachers were introduced to the Honour the Work kits through a STEM lens, helping them consider how to intentionally incorporate these hands-on experiences into long-range plans.
Estudiantes/Students will have opportunities to develop practical skills connected to the trades while making meaningful connections between curriculum learning and the real world. Hands-on learning helps bring the curriculum to life!
🏫 School Council – September 16 at 6:00 p.m.
At our next School Council meeting, we will share information about two important initiatives:
📹 CBE Video Surveillance Technology Project
Nosotros/We will engage families in the plans for cameras in exterior areas of the school and in two hallways near the bathrooms. Cameras will not face into the bathrooms. CBE and Glenmeadows School wish to make our school safer through this project.
📊 Our School: The Next Five Years
We will also share information about current and projected student numbers and how our learning spaces may evolve to support our students and programs.
We look forward to connecting with families and continuing to build a safe, engaging, and innovative learning environment together.
Tengan un lindo fin de semana/Have a great weekend!
