SABES QUE DEC 12, 2025

We had an amazing parent put up Christmas trees and decorations in our hallways to celebrate winter traditions.  Muchas gracias!  Students are looking forward to the Winter break and the last day of school before the holidays.

Yesterday and today, students did not go outside due to the cold temperatures.  Teachers increased movement tasks to make up for the loss of recess activities outside.  Thank you to all parents and guardians for bringing their children to school safe, warm, and ready to learn on time every day, despite the weather and road conditions.

In January, we will add the Intervention Literacy program for selected students in grades 4-6.  This is a specialized program is for students at risk in literacy run by Sra. Carla in the afternoons.  Parents of students who will benefit from this program will receive an email from their classroom teacher.

A friendly reminder: please do not send food for your child’s class to share with other students.  This is due to possible allergies and consent challenges.

Did you know that on Monday we will have a temperature of 9 degrees!  Yes, above zero!  Sabias que el lunes tendremos un temperature de 9 grados? Si, arriba!

Tengan un lindo fin de semana!

With gratitude,

Ray Suarez

Principal

SCHOOL COUNCIL & SOCIETY UPDATES

MAKERSPACE DONATION DRIVE – ON NOW!!

Did you know that Glenmeadows has a makerspace closet where we house equipment and materials for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) learning? Many of the items are used up by students every year, so each fall we collect items to support STEM learning. This year’s drive is a little delayed, but many items are still needed to support student learning. The Glenmeadows teachers have compiled a wish list of items to support planned activities. The Makerspace Donation Drive wish list is now posted on the Glenmeadows Volunteer sign up.

Please consider signing up for a donation spot (or several). Every donation is greatly appreciated and helps to support STEM learning at the school. Thank you!

UGLY SWEATER CONTEST WINNERS!

We had our Facility Operator, Sra. Lily be the judge! This year's winners are Everly N in grade 2 and Kyla C in grade 5. Congratulations girls!
