SABES QUE DEC 19, 2025

Feliz Navidad, prospero año y Felicidad. Today, most students and staff wore pyjamas or Christmas sweaters to celebrate the end of the calendar year.  Students were busy finalizing end-of-the-year assignments/tasks as well as creating winter cards or artifacts.  In the past 4 months, students have grown in all areas and are better because of you, their teachers, and many other important people in their lives.  To everyone, I am grateful for your support in your role of parent, guardian, family member, volunteer, School Council or Society member.  Your contributions certainly have a significant impact on student learning and well-being.

Yesterday, grade 6 students, staff, parents, and guardians went out to our adjacent community homes to give cards made by grade 2 students, as well as candy canes, as a gift and recognition for their part in the patience and support they have shown towards our school.  We are all in this together!

We are all grateful for the cards and gifts that families sent to us.  We appreciate your warmth and care for what we do at Escuela Glenmeadows School.

On behalf of all staff at Glenemadows School, we wish you a Feliz Navidad, prospero año y felicidad! Enjoy some festive music!

We will see you all back on Monday, January 5th, 2026!

With gratitude,

Ray Suarez

Principal

SCHOOL COUNCIL & SOCIETY UPDATES

MAKERSPACE DONATION DRIVE – ON NOW!!

Did you know that Glenmeadows has a makerspace closet where we house equipment and materials for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) learning? Many of the items are used up by students every year, so each fall we collect items to support STEM learning. This year’s drive is a little delayed, but many items are still needed to support student learning. The Glenmeadows teachers have compiled a wish list of items to support planned activities. The Makerspace Donation Drive wish list is now posted on the Glenmeadows Volunteer sign up.

Please consider signing up for a donation spot (or several). Every donation is greatly appreciated and helps to support STEM learning at the school. Thank you!

🎄 HOLIDAY READING CHALLENGE 🎄

The Parent Council is excited to spread some holiday cheer with this year’s Holiday Reading Challenge!

Starting next week, students can grab a winter-themed bookmark from the library to help track their cozy holiday reading adventures.

For every 15 minutes of reading for 10 days, students will earn an entry into our holiday contest!🎉 We’ll be drawing two lucky winners in the new year—one from Division 1 and one from Division 2.

So, curl up with a good book, and let the reading fun begin!

Challenge Dates: December 22nnd, 2024 – January 6th, 2025 All entries must be submitted to the office by January 9th, 2025.

Happy reading, and we wish you all a wonderful holiday season! 📚❄️🎁
