SABES QUE FEB 6, 2026

Estamos Unidos/We’re all in this together.  This was the song chosen at the electronic photo booth at last evening’s successful Amigos Party. This song resonates strongly with all of us. We had a strong group of volunteers who planned, organized, and delivered a range of tasks across classrooms, food, dance, sales, writing opportunities, and many fun activities. Families had a chance to meet other families and enjoy the evening.  I understand we almost reached 600 attendees for the Amigos Party, the most in the history of Glenmeadows school, in an indoor activity at that! Marcos is our residency instructor for the school and was also our DJ last night, leading everyone in a variety of Latin dances, and students had many opportunities to showcase their newly acquired Latin dance skills.  Muchas gracias to all who made this possible, the organizing committee, volunteers and all attendees.  A special thank you to all teachers in kindergarten, grade 1, and grade 2 who allowed us to use their classrooms for many of the activities!

AL comenzar/As we began our staff meeting this afternoon, I passed out small Post Office bags from students who attended the Amigos Party to write at the Post Office Centre.  Students wrote kind and encouraging words to their teachers.  Upon receiving the postcards at the meeting, teachers were touched by words such as "You are the best teacher in the world”, “I love you Srta. XXX”, “Thank you for being our teacher”, “Thank you for teaching me every day”, and “Sorry for misbehaving in class, you are the best.”  Thank you, families, you have kind and caring children because of you!

Please pencil in February 26 on your calendars to attend our Latin Dance Recital, and save the schedule we sent you.

Tengan un lindo fin de semana/Have a nice weekend!

With gratitude,

Ray Suarez

Principal

 SCHOOL COUNCIL & SOCIETY UPDATES

💃🕺 Thank You to Our Amazing AMIGOS PARTY Organizing Committee! 🎉

A huge thank you to the organizing committee and volunteers for such a successful and memorable dance! Your hard work and dedication brought together over 500 students and families, creating a joyful night full of music, laughter, and community spirit. 💖✨

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our teachers and administrative staff for their support and involvement—your help made a big difference and was truly appreciated. 🙏

Thank you all for making this event such a wonderful success! 🙌

FEBRUARY IS PROJECT KINDNESS MONTH

Project Kindness is a school-wide initiative rooted in care, compassion, and community. It’s a way for us to quietly support families in our school who may be facing financial challenges, and to remind one another that we’re all in this together 🤍.

Throughout the month of February, we invite families to donate any unused gift cards they may have. These simple gestures can make a meaningful difference and will be shared with care within our school community 🤝.

The box will then remain in the school office for the rest of February for anyone who wishes to contribute.

Thank you for helping spread kindness, generosity, and warmth—one small act at a time.
