Desde/From Monday to Thursday, grade 6 students attended Camp Chief Hector Outdoor camp. While there, they learned about the environment, our land, science, well-being and collaboration. Students were outdoors 80% of the time, busy with authentic and fun learning opportunities that followed the Alberta curriculum.
Ayer/Yesterday, we had Patricia Bolger, Ward 6 and 7 Trustee, Michelle Howell, Educational Director for Area 7, and Jason Wilcox, System Principal for Area 6, hear and respond to parents' questions on a variety of topics of interest or concern. Attendees left the evening with a CBE system and a public understanding of why and how decisions are made at various levels of education. We are appreciative to our School Council and Society for fostering this vital forum.
La mayoria/Most of our students are cheering for the Edmonton Oilers, the hockey team representing Canada in the Stanley Cup. A cup has not been in Canada for the past 32 years. Many of our students are excited and wearing their Oilers jerseys to school. To support our students and the Oilers, we invite everyone to express their enthusiasm by wearing an Oilers jersey, or alternatively wearing blue, orange, white, or a combination of these colours, this coming Thursday, June 12.
Tengan un lindo fin de semana
