Ayer/Yesterday we recognized our amazing school volunteers for their critical collaboration and support towards our students, teachers and school administration.  From serving on School Council/Society to volunteering in and outside of the classrooms through multiple events.  Muchas gracias voluntarios! It really does take a village to raise a child.  On this note, we are appreciative to our School Society for purchasing several above and beyond resources for the school.  Their latest purchase, 6 large movable soccer nets, has been a huge hit with soccer players!

Este/This year we had 29 students from Grades 4-6 participate in the Calgary Elementary School Mathematics Contest (CESMC) which is a mathematical contest organized annually by the Department of Mathematics and Computing at Mount Royal University.  Four of our amazing students received Certificates of Distinction because they scored in the Top 25% of the 3177 participants. Congratulations to everyone who participated!  A special acknowledgement to Srta. Rivas and Sanchez for organizing this great mathematical opportunity at our school.

Hay/There is a little more than a month left of school and students continue to engage in authentic and worthwhile learning tasks based on the Alberta curriculum. Teachers are also continuing to  work on assessments, individual program plans, English as an additional Language targets as well as many other tasks that ensure June report cards are accurate, consistent and learning focused.

Tengan un lindo fin de semana/Have a great weekend.
