This afternoon, we held our Welcome Back assembly, filled with energy, enthusiasm, and respect. Our theme for this assembly reflected the question of what makes me feel alive in school. Many spoke about being respected, valued, included and many more. We had the 70’s disco hit song “Born to be Alive” as part of a movement activity that proved to be fun and inspirational. On September 25th, at Welcome Back BBQ, you will have the chance to read and see your child’s message about what makes them feel alive at Escuela Glenmeadows School, in the form of a colourful chalk message and artwork on our new paved areas. As every year, we had the Welcome Back video with the same theme song, which brightened students' smiles as they saw themselves, classmates, and staff enjoying teaching and learning while having fun.
Please note that an access corridor in the corner of the newer portables is now available for students to use to get to their entrance doors. The majority of the new grass still needs to be fenced by the Optimist Park to ensure it adheres to the ground.
With gratitude,
